About the Author
Michael Parker is the author of "Learn Six Sigma", a nine-part Lean Six Sigma training manual collection covering Six Sigma certification levels Yellow Belt, Green Belt, and Black Belt. Each certification level is published in versions referencing three different statistical software applications (Minitab, JMP, and SigmaXL).
An economist by education, Michael founded Lean Sigma Corporation in 2010 after twenty years leading and executing improvement work where performance wasn’t theoretical; it was measured, audited, and financially consequential.
He’s a Certified Master Black Belt (Bank of America) and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (R.R. Donnelley & Sons) with over 25 years across financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology. He’s led Fortune 500 quality assurance operations, directed $80M in capital improvement programs, and managed portfolios of over 150 concurrent improvement initiatives. His consulting experience includes work with organizations such as General Motors, Aramark, and Omnimax.
Before business and Six Sigma, he learned discipline and coaching early as a Division I baseball scholarship athlete and later as a college coach at the Virginia Military Institute. Experience that is evident today in how he structures training for execution, not theory.
Michael holds a U.S. Patent (8.583.464 B2, Iss Nov 2013) and several U.S. copyright registrations for the Learn Six Sigma collection, as well as two project management publications.
Today, his focus is simple: build capable practitioners with credible credentials through Lean Sigma Corporation’s certification governance, examinations, and licensed training programs.
