The project is the "+"
A "+" on any Lean Sigma Corporation credential means one thing: the candidate completed a project, and a Master Black Belt reviewed and approved it. No project, no MBB review, no "+". It applies the same way at Green Belt and Black Belt.
Tina reviews every project at five tollgates using the DMAIC Project Assessment Framework, authored by Lean Sigma Corporation's Master Black Belts: eleven questions, rated, with a disposition rendered at each phase.

What to expect from your trained & certified belt
Green Belt
Completes one approved project, certifies, and returns to the day job measurably more capable of managing an operation.
Black Belt
Self-starting and self-sustaining after certification. Able to train and mentor others. Completes two projects per year at roughly $500K in benefit each.

Candidates who arrive with a job assignment instead of a defined project spend their training building what should have been in place before day one. For organizations standing up an internal program, we put the leadership work in front of the belts.
- Deployment Maturity Model. An assessment across 25 criteria that yields a plan to mature the program.
- Priorities, Portfolio, Projects. Leadership sets three to five priorities with a metric, a goal, and an owner; staffs build the supporting metrics; candidates are assigned Finance- and sponsor-approved project charters.
- DMAIC Project Assessment Framework. The same tollgate standard Tina applies, available to your sponsors and leaders.
- Master Black Belts developed, not just trainers trained. We build internal capability that can carry the program.

Tina Agustiady, Master Black Belt
Tina Agustiady is the author of six published works in the field of Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement. She has served as an editor for CRC Press & Taylor, as well as the International Journal of Six Sigma and Competitive Advantage.
Tina received the 2018 ASQ Crosby Medal, awarded for a distinguished book contributing significantly to the philosophy and application of quality management, and the 2016 Feigenbaum Medal, presented to a quality professional 35 or younger for outstanding leadership, professionalism, and potential.
Tina also serves full-time as V.P. and Senior Vendor Relationship Manager at JPMorgan Chase.

Can a Private Cohort be delivered on-site?
Yes. Private Cohorts run virtual or on-site, timing and format can be adapted to your situation.
Can we buy with a purchase order and invoice?
Yes. Private Cohorts are quoted and invoiced, with an agreement for larger groups. Public Group seats can be paid by card or on a payment plan.
Green Belt or Black Belt?
Private Cohorts run at either depth. Green Belts complete one project and return to their role; Black Belts are expected to lead projects on their own after certification.
What if a candidate does not have a project?
Without an approved project, the credential is CSSGB or CSSBB, not "+". For organizations, we recommend the project selection work happen before training starts.
