About Our Certification Exams
The Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma certification exams are identical with only one exception: Six Sigma exam questions do not include Lean-related questions.
Each exam is time-restricted and cover our published Lean Six Sigma Curriculum. (Six Sigma curriculum has Lean elements removed). The passing scores are 80% for all exams.
All students get two attempts. Exams are administered online. You will need a reliable internet connection, a personal computer, and a web browser.
The exam interface allows you to flag questions for review before submission. If you do not submit your test before your allotted time, the test will auto-submit once your testing time has expired.
Exam Question Types
- Single Choice (84%) - One "single" correct response
- Multiple Choice (14% ) - More than one correct response
- Matrix Sorting (2%) - Move items into the correct locations
Certification
Passing the certification exam will earn you the Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma certification designation. We will issue you a certification serial number, list you in our Official Certification Directory, and issue a digital certificate with our accreditation and certification seals affixed.
Exam Resets
All students get two exam attempts. If unsuccessful after two attempts, you may reset your exam by making the appropriate exam reset payment.
